About Lee and Wilde Portraits
Wilde Portraits is the studio home of Australian artist Lee Wilde, known for figurative work shaped by emotional realism and quiet, atmospheric tension. Working from a Sydney studio, Lee creates portraits that feel suspended in time; drawn from light, stillness, and the subtle psychology of the human face.
Mission
Wilde Portraits was created to offer collectors and designers access to contemporary figurative art that feels emotionally grounded and visually refined. Trade access is available for designers and stylists working on residential or commercial projects. Limited releases and new portrait studies are added throughout the year.
Process / How the Work Comes to Life
Lee’s process blends traditional drawing foundations with contemporary digital techniques. Studies evolve through layers of light, shadow, and gesture until the portrait reaches a point of emotional clarity. This slow, deliberate approach ensures that every piece carries the same depth and atmosphere as the original concept.Once complete, the artwork moves into a controlled print workflow—archival inks, calibrated profiles, and premium papers selected for longevity and visual fidelity. The result is a print that feels both cinematic and intimate, ready to anchor a room.
